Several people are a little weary of citigroup now adays. Given the current economic breakdown, and the stimulus package that they have received. They should keep in mind, that it is a huge company, that is not going anywhere. The government bailed them out for a reason, to keep the company going.

I have hotel rewards credit card, it lets me transfer my hotel points into an equivalent match in frequent flier miles, so I can get free air line tickets as well

I agree that most people with fair credit are usually able to pay their credit bills on time. However, they may have a few late payments due to a life changing accident or an unexpected event. Some people may be close to being overextended. That reduces their good scores.

I am thinking about a divorce right now. My spouse has a lot of debts, but he is doing nothing to repay them. He is just sitting at home and making complaints. I am really tired of this life. Tankfully, we don’t have any joint accounts. I wouldn’t cope with his credit card debts.

Last year I made a late payment. My APR immediately skyrocketed from 12% to 19%. It was awful. Now I always make payments on time.

The main idea of cash back cards is the more you spend the more money you get back. There is the trick: in order to get as much cash back as possible, you will spend more and more. The mistake is to spend more than you can actually afford.

I think that the you need to start with getting a credit report – it will show you financial situation. If you can’t work full time, you can find some freelance job to pay off your debts – you can work from home.

Individual credit accounts make life much easier! If you divorce, you and your ex-spouse will stay with your own debts. Joint accounts will remain the joint responsibility even after divorce. By law, credit card issuers can’t close a joint account because your marital status has changed.

Airmiles credit cards are good! My aunt had one. She was so funny accumulating rewards, trying to buy as much as she could. And she got 2 free Delta tickets then! I don’t remember what card she had.
