Increasing the Chances of Instant Credit Card Approval
September 12, 2009
An instant approval card may be the fastest way of getting a credit card, but it does not mean that it is the easiest. Approval of the credit card application is still not guaranteed. Here are some pointers to remember that will ensure instant credit card approval.
A primary basis of a bank’s decision regarding a credit card application’s approval is usually a person’s credit rating. In most cases, it is important that the person applying for a credit card has good ratings. It may seem that applying for a number of credit cards is a good idea because it increases the odds that the application will be approved by any one of the banks, however, the opposite is actually true. Simultaneously applying from more than one bank decreases a person’s credit rating, and ultimately reduces chances of instant credit card approval. One should apply to as few banks as possible, with a maximum of two or three only.
The bank itself does not conduct research about a person to gather information; it relies on other companies to come up with a profile. A person applying should supply all relevant information. Each piece of information should be up-to-date and complete so that companies would be able to create an accurate profile.
Aside from the name and contact details, the bank also requires the applicant’s social security number. This information is matched with all other personal information available about the applicant to confirm that he or she is legitimate.
An applicant’s employment details are also necessary as well as job title, working status, employer information, and contact details.
Of course, banks need to be aware of the person’s financial standing to be able to make an accurate decision on how much credit limit will be allowed. Thus, each applicant needs to include bank account information and details regarding salary.
Finally, apart from the applicant’s address, the bank will also ask for other information regarding his or her accommodations. It is important for them to know whether the applicant owns a home or rents one. How long the applicant has lived in the address given is also a crucial factor. If this duration is less than a specified time, usually three years, the bank requires each previous address to be given. Postal codes are also very important, not only to the bank, but also to the applicant since the credit card will be sent through mail after a successful application.
