Making a List and Checking it Twice
October 17, 2007 | Report and Score
There’s a reason why Santa Clause makes his list and then checks it twice! It’s because people make mistakes. Because people make mistakes, and because your credit score is calculated based on the information that people enter about you into a file- don’t you think you should get your list and check it twice?
Or at least once a year from each of the three major credit bureaus.
You’re entitled to a copy of your credit report for free, once every 12 months. Many people either do not know about this, or just don’t take advantage of it.   Why would you want to leave the fate of your future in the hands of people and companies that really don’t know you … (more) October 17, 2007
WHAT?! $750 for an iPhone if You Don’t Have Perfect Credit?
October 16, 2007 | Bad Credit, Credit Card Advice

In other words- we’re big poker fans around here and can’t seem to get enough of it. We joke all the time about pooling our poker gang’s money together for a couple years in order to send one of us to the World Series of Poker sometime – but then we get into a fight over who’s the best player and most deserving to go so of course, we don’t do anything about it.
I was pretty surprised to find a credit card with a rewards program … (more) October 15, 2007
Tis the Season for Credit
October 14, 2007 | Rewards Credit Cards
There are less than 71 days until Christmas – and we are just entering the biggest shopping season of the year! I’m determined to pay for most everything with cash this year – because I can remember all too many years gone by when I charged more than I should have and paid for it (and paid for it, and paid for it…) later in interest and finance charges.
Then I realized I would be missing out on some fabulous reward programs I could take advantage of. I buy for about 10 kids between my own, the nieces and nephews, and a few close friends.  (not only do they all celebrate Christmas, but each of their birthday’s fall between November 8tht … (more) October 14, 2007
