A couple of days ago a friend of mine came over and she was talking about the bad credit she realized she did. It’s now haunting her because it seems that it is a difficult for her to be approved of a regular credit card. I have not heard of any other options about having another way of having credit cards. So, what we did was, we went to my bank and asked around about options on what she could do. I could not lend her money, she knows that. It is not because I do not want to but because it simple is not our culture. She knows too that I am a single mother who works for 2 … (more) December 30, 2010

Ned It Now, Not Later
December 28, 2010 | Credit Card General
Yes, I sound a little bit frantic when I say that I need it now, not later. Okay here goes. I am the kind of person who is usually on the run and somehow have to rush things so as not to end up with piled up things in the office as well as home. Good thing I am so single. I wonder what would happen if I have a boyfriend or family, can’t imagine. Anyways… there was a time before when I was newbie at the company where I am now and that time I needed to buy purchase a new line of clothing that is reflective of the company. I did not have enough cash that time to … (more) December 28, 2010

One of the most unsightly things you may have around the house is unfortunately one thing take forever to clean out. A mounting pile of credit cards with ever-increasing amounts forebodes the hellish task and sadly, reality of eliminating incurred debts and balances. It might surprise, you, however, that with a little bit of work, patience and determination, you can slowly eat away at hose debts towards realizing your goal of easier, balance-free living. I admit it; I’m quite the impulsive shopper. When I was a just a little kid, I would ever so often binge at the local comic shop or candy store, spending whatever little cash my parents gave me as allowance (my on-off paper route earned me just a little extra to buy more goodies). My teenage years were no different. Together with my friends, we would spend weekends and school holidays at the mall, pigging out on junk food or beating the hell out of each other at the arcades (no one could beat me at fighting games). Whenever the budget allows it, I would frequent 3-day sales and discount shops for stuff that pretty much comprised my being … (more) December 24, 2010
Saved by Pre-paid
December 22, 2010 | Prepaid
So there I was, just getting ready to go to work on a pleasantly balmy Wednesday morning. Three steps down the hall from my apartment/studio/crash pad, I receive this call from Lee, my immediate superior at the [usual-nine-to-five-hours-in-a-cubicle] job I was holding at the time. “Hey Jim, this is Lee. Um, listen; we had this meeting yesterday with the higher-ups. Sort of performance analysis thing for work efficiency, you know the firm’s in a bit of a bind right now… “I gulped hard, and a sense of dread came over me…
To put it short, I got laid off. Fired, De-listed, Whatever. I was out of a job.
Fast forward to the present and having to make a payment so I don’t … (more) December 22, 2010
Things We Shouldn’t Do With Our Credit Cards
December 20, 2010 | Credit Card General
When we find our credit card balance too high, that’s where we panic, especially when our job pay isn’t enough to cover it all. We desperately seek help, often from credit counselors. But we end up having an additional bill to pay for though we a higher chance to get the bills paid.
Credit management is a course we have to learn before getting involved in credit cards. We don’t have to go to a financial course in a school to learn this. We have enough resources to get our knowledge from. Books, one-day seminars, internet and magazines all of them offering enough topics for the syllabus.
I could summarize some points in this article by telling you the greatest … (more) December 20, 2010
